FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A man surrendered to police early Friday after a six-hour standoff at a home in Fort Collins, officials said.

John Jimenez, 48, faces several charges, including retaliation against a victim/witness, stalking, false imprisonment and domestic violence.

Police responded about 6:30 p.m. Thursday to the 300 block of Edwards Street, where a disturbance was reported. When officers arrived, three people came out of the home and none were injured.

They told police Jimenez was still inside the home. Jimenez, who was wanted on charges related to a prior incident, refused to come outside and told police that he had a gun, police said.

SWAT responded to the home, and officers used less-lethal tools to try to get Jimenez to surrender. About 12:30 a.m., Jimenez came out of the home and complied with police.

Jimenez was then taken to the Larimer County Jail.
