2 men arrested after man's dead body was found in abandoned Fort Collins building

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Two men were arrested in connection to a homicide investigation in Fort Collins early Saturday.  

Officers arrested Matthew Tatti, 30, and Anthony Horne, 38, after a man's body was found inside an abandoned building in Fort Collins by police officers. Both have been charged with first-degree murder.

Police were notified of an assault in the area of South College Avenue and West County Road 38 at around 12:42 a.m.

Several people appeared to be using the abandoned building as a shelter, according to a Fort Collins Police Department spokesperson.

Detectives are still investigating what led up to the incident.

The name of the deceased and official cause and manner of death will be released by the Larimer County Coroner at a later time. Police do not believe there is any ongoing public safety threat to the community.
