LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. -- A man eluded police twice Tuesday, but got arrested the third time, when he had a woman and a child in his car, deputies said.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office said a deputy spotted 22-year-old Christopher Grabowski on Tuesday night and knew he was wanted on an outstanding warrant and for eluding deputies twice earlier in the day.
The deputy said he attempted a traffic stop, but Grabowski didn't stop.
"Deputies pursued Grabowski southbound on Interstate 25 and then westbound on Prospect Road," the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said.
The chase went through multiple red lights and reached speeds of 85 mph.
Deputies said Grabowski drove over spike strips, flattening his tires, but kept driving until he hit another vehicle at Prospect and Riverside.
The driver of that vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injures.
Deputies said a woman and a child in Grabowski's car, who he refused to let out of the vehicle during the chase, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Grabowski was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, then arrested on suspicion of eluding, kidnapping and the outstanding warrant, deputies said.
