FORT COLLINS, Colo. — An accident involving a motorhome resulted in a 16-vehicle crash and 22 people being treated for injuries in Fort Collins on Wednesday, police said.
Five people were taken to hospitals with two in serious condition.
The crash happened Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Harmony and Timberline road, where a motorhome pulling an SUV was traveling east on Harmony and approaching several vehicles stopped at a red light.
The motorhome driver did not stop for the traffic and crashed into several vehicles, police said.
The crash shut down the intersection for about 12 hours before it re-opened early Thursday morning. Investigators were still looking into the crash and whether the motorhome driver suffered a medical event.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact police officer Drew Jurkofsky at 970-416-2224.
