DENVER -- A driver who hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes made an impressive hole in the front wall of Impressive Cleaners on East Hampden Thursday afternoon.
The shop manager said a customer pulled up to the shop just before 3:00 p.m., got out of the car and noticed it was starting to roll backward.
"He got back in, but instead of hitting the brakes, he stepped on the gas," said Devon Adamski.
The Lincoln SUV shot forward, plowing through the front glass of the shop at 9200 E. Hampden.
There were two employees inside.
"I'm sure they were terrified," Adamski said, "but everyone is safe and that's what counts."
Adamski added the SUV hit the counter and knocked out the shop's computer system.
"We're not able to get into anybody's accounts," he said, "but we should be able to manage it tomorrow."
Adamski is telling customers to call before driving out to the business tomorrow, to see if their computer connection has been restored.
