Juvenile hit crossing Denver street

DENVER -- A juvenile is hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in Denver.

The child was hit on Dayton Street, just south of Alameda Avenue, at about 6:50 a.m. Friday.

Police said the victim was hospitalized with serious injuries.

While investigators confirmed that the victim is a juvenile and was taken to Children's Hospital, authorities have not yet released the victim's age.

The driver that hit the victim stayed at the scene.
