A grass fire at Denver International Airport may have been sparked by a plane that was taking off, according to airport officials.
The grass fire was on the east side of the airfield, near runway 725, Heath Montgomery said in a recorded message on the airport's media line.
It was believed to have been sparked by United Flight 328. The plane was headed to Hawaii but was returning to airport, Montgomery stated.
The Denver Fire Department had the grass fire contained as of 12:22 p.m., according to Montgomery.
"It is not expected to be a significant problem," Montgomery stated.
