DENVER -- A student is being investigated for allegedly bringing a fake gun to school.
Denver Public Schools told Denver7 that a classmate told officials at Hamilton Middle School Thursday morning that he had seen the other student with a gun in the neighborhood the day before.
Officials pulled that student out of class, searched the accused student's locker and found an airsoft weapon, which is a replica weapon.
Students who bring fake guns to school can face consequences under the district’s discipline policy.
Denver Public Schools told Denver7 the gun was found thanks to one classmate following the idea of "see something, say something."
