A bear was spotted several times in a Denver neighborhood Thursday morning, and again Thursday afternoon.
The bear was walking in a greenbelt area near Wadsworth Blvd. and Layton Avenue, near Marston Lake, around 1:45 p.m.
Eventually, the bear climbed up 80 feet into a huge Cottonwood tree and took a nap.
The bear appeared to have a green ear tag. Colorado Parks and Wildlife says that means the bear already has one strike. Typically, CPAW gives wild animals two strikes before putting them down.
