DENVER -- Auraria Campus Police are investigating two attacks that happened Tuesday night on campus.

A campus alert said the first attack happened at 7:25 p.m. outside North Classroom.

Police said a man walked up to someone sitting outside the classroom and demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspect hit the victim in the face and ran off.

Minutes later, a man walked up to someone on the side of the Auraria Library, near 11th and Lawrence, hit the victim in the face and attempted to run off, the campus alert said.

In this case, the victim chased the suspect, but the suspect got away.

Auraria Campus Police said the suspect in both cases was a white man, about 5'8" tall wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt with white lettering, black pants, blue shoes and a blue hat.

If you saw either incident, or recognize the suspect's description, call the Auraria Campus Police Department at 303-556-5000.
