Investigators have suspended a search at a Colorado ski resort but are hoping DNA evidence will help them identify human remains found inside a snow boot there.
A foot was found Wednesday inside a size 13 boot in a clearing at the Eldora Mountain Ski Resort. Teams spent two days scouring the area, including a horseback search of cross-country skiing trails Thursday. But they don't plan to look again for clues until more snow melts.
The Daily Camera reports DNA from the remains could be run through a national database to see if it matches a profile on file.
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office doesn't believe the remains belong to a missing 20-year-old man from Lafayette who worked at the resort.
