AURORA, Colo. -- A stolen truck rolled, hit a fence and almost landed in a swimming pool at a condominium complex late Monday night.

The owner of the truck said the 2009 Dodge Ram pickup was stolen from a 7-Eleven on Colfax Avenue in Aurora around 8 p.m.

Police said the truck was equipped with a GPS tracker so dispatchers were able to track the truck.

Aurura Police said deputies managed to stop the driver briefly, but the driver took off.

Police found the truck crashed near the pool at a condominium complex on East Platte Drive. A Denver7 viewer said the truck crashed into the pool house at the Redbuck at Sorrel Ranch condos.

Two people were in the truck. Police said a passenger ran off, but the driver was treated and released from a nearby hospital, then taken into custody.

Randall Powers, 28, was arrested on suspicion of theft and eluding.

Police said the owner of the truck left it unlocked and left the keys in the center console.
