AURORA, Colo. -- A raccoon is to blame for a large power outage in Aurora.
Xcel Energy said the raccoon got into a large piece of equipment causing the outage early Friday morning.
At one point, more than 26,000 customers were without power from Yosemite to Sable and Colfax to Alameda.

Xcel Energy told Denver7 that power was restored to 8,000 customers by 6 a.m., a total of 17,000 customers by 6:45 a.m. and everyone else by 7 a.m.
