AURORA, Colo. -- The Aurora Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit is asking for help in their search for a missing teenager who has not been seen or heard from in a week.
Police say Lashaya Nae Stine, 16, was last seen on Friday, July 15, at 2:30 a.m. in the area of East Montview Boulevard and Peoria Street in northwest Aurora.
"I just want my baby girl back and if somebody is preventing that I’m begging you please just let my baby go," said Sandra Jones, the girl's mother.
Investigators describe Stine as 5-feet, 6-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with long black hair, brown eyes, and a quarter size round scar on her chest.
Stine was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt and black stone wash jeans. According to police, she typically wears a silver watch on her left arm.
"She is a good girl, she’s never giving me any trouble, she would never give me any reason to believe that she would go walking off somewhere," Jones said during a press conference Saturday.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
