Franktown Elementary School kids raise money for Houston schools affected by Harvey
School hosts 'Cray Hat Day' for relief effort
Franktown Elementary students in Douglas County are having a little fun this week raising money for Houston-area schools damaged in Hurricane Harvey. For a $1 donation, students can wear a 'crazy' hat for the day. By the end of school Wednesday, students had raised $581. Crazy Hat Day will go through the end of the week. Franktown will be doing more fundraising events over the next couple weeks. (Photos courtesy of Denver7 photojournalist Eric Goody).
