COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A woman accused of bringing samurai swords to a Colorado Springs school campus was arrested.

On Friday shortly before 8:50 a.m., Colorado Springs Police Department officers responded to a call of a person with weapons on the Vanguard School’s campus on S. Corona Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been detained by school administrators.

The staff told police that she had been lying near an exterior wall of the school. They reported that two samurai swords and knives were on and near her.

Police determined that while there weren’t any specific threats, the woman had no legitimate business on campus. She was identified as Jillian Haddan, 29.

She was taken into custody and booked into the Criminal Justice Center on a charge of having weapons on school grounds.
