WELD COUNTY, Colo. – A woman who was found dead on a private property west of Kersey over the weekend was wanted on a homicide warrant, a spokesperson for the Weld County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies were following up on a lead into the homicide investigation of 53-year-old Stanley Scott Sessions, a popular trumpet player for the Colorado band The Movers and Shakers when they found the woman, identified as 48-year-old Heather Frank, dead inside a home in the area of U.S. 34 and Weld County Road 45 in unincorporated Weld County.

Deputies said Frank had an active warrant for her arrest at the time of her death.

Court records obtained by Denver7 show Frank was wanted on a warrant for one count of first-degree murder after deliberation, and one count of tampering with a deceased human body, both felonies.

Frank’s body was found Sunday, the same day Larimer County deputies arrested 48-year-old Kevin Dean Eastman, in connection with Session’s death. He was booked into the Larimer County Jail on allegations of first-degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body and an outstanding warrant from the Denver Police Department for assault, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.

Session's body was found on Feb. 10 near Old Flowers Road and Pingree Park Road, which is west of Fort Collins and south of Poudre Canyon Road.

Weld County deputies said they sought their own search warrant for the Weld County Road 45 property and is investigating Frank’s death. The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Session’s homicide.
