DENVER -- A group of teenagers went on a late night joyride on a forklift in Denver destroying several garages in the process.
Ryan Sands heard loud banging and honking at his newly constructed town home early Saturday morning.
“We saw at least five individuals driving around on a forklift running after each other running into buildings,” he said. “They were actually backing up and running full force probably to outdo one another.”
The town homes are new and still under construction, but Sands believes the forklift came from a construction site across the street.
The suspects also hit some scaffolding and damaged the gutters.
Sands says they broke into one of the town homes that was not occupied.
“We saw them break in to this unit here; at least two of them were running around inside,” Sands said.
Denver police arrived and officers arrested two adults and one juvenile. But two of the suspects may have gotten away.
