PUEBLO, Colo. – Police shot and killed a man at a mobile home park on the eastern side of the city Friday who they say is a suspect in a deadly June 25 shooting.
Pueblo police said the suspect is accused of shooting and killing 23-year-old Wayne Riddock around 4 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police said they found the suspect, who has not been identified, on the east side of Pueblo. In a news release, police said the man eluded police and they followed him to a mobile home park in the 1900 block of Constitution Road.
There, according to police, the man barricaded himself inside a home. Police said “shots were fired” 45 minutes after the man got inside the home and the man was killed.
Six officers have been placed on administrative leave following the shooting. The 10th Judicial District Critical Incident Team is investigating the police shooting.
