ARVADA, Colo. – Police have found three children who were missing for hours Friday from their home in Arvada.

Police had been looking for 14-year-old Inez Gonzalez, 6-year-old Syncere DeHerrera and 10-year-old Genesis Gonzalez, who were all last seen Thursday at their home in Arvada. Just before 3 p.m., Arvada police said the two younger had been found safe and that Inez Gonzalez is considered a runaway and not in danger.

Their mother came home at 6:30 a.m. to find their front door unlocked and all three kids gone, according to police. Their personal items were missing from the bathroom and their dog, its leash and water dish were missing as well, police said.

DeHerrera was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue and gray striped shirt. Genesis Gonzalez was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and a loose gray sweater, authorities said.

Police say the kids might be with 15-year-old Josias Rivera, a reported runaway who is a friend of Inez’s. But the bulletin said it was also possible they were on foot or riding RTD.

Arvada Detective Dave Snelling said there was no strong indication that the kids were in immediate danger but that officers wanted to get them home to their mother.

Police did not immediately release more information about where the children were located Friday afternoon.
