FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Police confirmed Friday that the man who fled from officers and caused a deadly crash that killed two people on Thanksgiving Day is the same man believed to have stolen a truck and used it to ram into a Fort Collins pawn shop to steal guns earlier in the day.
Fort Collins police said Marcos Orozco, 19, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary, vehicular eluding, aggravated motor vehicle theft and bail violation charges, in addition to multiple outstanding warrants, after the crash Thursday morning.
Police confirmed that Orozco is suspected of stealing a flatbed truck from a man’s cattle feed lot near Ault late Wednesday or early Thursday before the burglary at the Fort Collins pawn shop.
Police said he drove the truck into the pawn shop in the 2900 block of S. College Ave. just after 3:30 a.m. Thursday, stole several weapons and fled the scene.

Around 9:45 a.m., police were called about a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Caribou Dr. and Arctic Fox Drive after the person who called saw several firearms inside the truck.
When police confronted Orozco in the truck, he fled but police did not pursue.
But shortly afterward, Orozco allegedly caused another crash between the stolen truck and two other vehicles then crashed into a nearby business. Two people were killed in the crash but have not been identified.
Fort Collins police discovered that the stolen vehicle involved was the same one used in the pawn shop burglary and the same one stolen from the feed lot.
Police said Friday the investigation into the deadly crash was ongoing and additional charges could be filed against Orozco after it is complete.
Court records show that Orozco is being held on a $450,000 bond in the Larimer County jail.
