Police detained one person of interest after Roosevelt High School received multiple threats of possible violence Wednesday.
Early Wednesday morning, the Weld RE-5J School District posted on Facebook that it had received multiple Safe2Tell reports of a possible school shooter and bomb threat at the high school.
All Roosevelt students were brought to Grace Community Church, and Ledford Elementary School, Milliken Middle School and Milliken Elementary School were put on lockout, the district said.
Johnstown Police Department immediately began searching for a person of interest. The Northern Colorado Bomb Squad brought in bomb-sniffing dogs that helped search for a threat in the building. No threat was found.
Roosevelt High School was given the all-clear by police at 9:12 a.m., according to the school district. Classes began at 9:30 a.m. All school lookouts were lifted.
A person of interested was detained by police, according to the district.
The school district said it does not believe there is a current threat to students or staff.
