ALAMOSA, Colo. (AP) — Police say there has been an officer-involved shooting in southern Colorado.
Major George Dingfelder of the Colorado State Patrol tells the Valley Courier that the shooting happened Saturday morning on Colorado Highway 17 north of Alamosa.
Dingfelder says no officer was injured in the shooting, but he declined to comment on whether anybody else was injured or detail the circumstances that led to the shooting.
No other details were immediately available.
Patrol spokesman Gary Cutler says the Colorado Bureau of Investigation is headed to the scene to take over the investigation.
