GREELEY, Colo. – A nurse practitioner from Timnath was arrested over the weekend for investigation on child sex charges, and he could face more possible charges.
Lance Zabler, 47, was arrested Saturday by Larimer County sheriff’s deputies during a traffic stop, the Timnath Police Department told Denver7 Monday.
According to county jail records, Zabler faces investigation on several counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, invasion of privacy, assault and child abuse. Court records show he is scheduled to make his first court appearance Tuesday.
Zabler is employed by Banner Health, which has several clinics in the Greeley area. An online record said he worked in orthopedic surgery, though the health care company did not confirm that.
Banner Health said Zabler had been employed by the company since November 2015, and added in a statement that he “will be on leave until more information becomes available on this matter.”
Arrest records for Zabler were not available Monday because county and city government offices were closed. Timnath police could not confirm how long the investigation into Zabler’s alleged actions had been ongoing, or why deputies stopped him Saturday.
