NORTHGLENN, Colo. – Police said Wednesday they had arrested a man in connection with the Monday stabbing death of an elderly man and that the victim’s grandson, who had previously been arrested, has been released from custody.
Police were called to the 11400 block of Emerson Street just after noon on Monday, where they found 79-year-old Arthur Ventura dead from multiple stab wounds.
Police originally arrested the man’s 38-year-old grandson in connection with the man’s death and sent a news release announcing the arrest on Tuesday.
But on Wednesday, they sent another release saying that they had arrested Reynold Richards Jr. in connection with Ventura’s death and released the man previously arrested without charges.
Police ask anyone with additional information about the case to call Northglenn Detectives Paul Gesi (303-450-8857) or Jackie Spresser (303-450-8859).
