WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Wheat Ridge police announced Thursday that a missing and endangered 7-year-old girl was safely located.

Police say the missing girl, Zion Dominguez, was last seen with her non-custodial mother, Fanesa Maricia Dominguez, 32, on Monday leaving the mother's home in a silver or light gray Mercury Cougar.

Authorities quickly issued an alert and began searching for the pair. On Wednesday, police tweeted the car was located, but the two were nowhere to be found.

Authorities have yet to release details surrounding Zion's disappearance or where she was found. It's unclear if Fanesa was taken into custody.
