DENVER – A lockdown at Denver's Manual High School has been lifted and two juveniles are in custody after Denver police received reports of a student with a gun on campus Wednesday afternoon.

Denver Police received reports of a juvenile with a gun on school grounds sometime before 3:30 p.m. The school was immediately placed on a lockdown and officers searched the school for a possible suspect.

Denver Public School officials tweeted students and staff were safe, but provided no other details.

Denver Police Department spokesman John White told Denver7 officers eventually found and contacted a juvenile believed to be in possession of a gun and another juvenile along with him. Both were taken into custody, but White would not say whether any of them had a gun in their person.

Denver Public School officials told Denver7's Jackie Crea a weapon was confiscated on campus. A student told Crea he saw a teen waving the gun in a hallway.

The school remained on lockdown for about 30 minutes. School officials said more information about the lockdown would be sent to families.
