ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. – A 20-year-old Denver man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly attacked several drivers with a tire iron near the intersection of 58th Ave. and Franklin Street.
Micah Fralick is facing several charges including aggravated assault, child abuse, menacing use of a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
Adams County deputies were called out to the area around 1:30 p.m. after several people called 911 about the man with the tire iron.
The sheriff’s office says Fralick stopped several vehicles near the intersection then attacked the drivers. He struck at least four vehicles, one of which was occupied by a 10-year-old child, with the tire iron causing broken glass and dents, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies said Fralick forcibly removed two of the drivers and tried to steal their vehicles.
The suspect fled once deputies arrived at the scene, but a sheriff’s office K-9 was able to subdue him and deputies took him into custody.
Fralick was hospitalized with injuries from the dog. The sheriff’s office says the six drivers and passenger who were attacked were treated at the scene.
