LASALLE, Colo. – A LaSalle police officer was involved in a shooting early Wednesday morning after responding to a callout about a suspicious vehicle.
The 19th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the shooting, which happened at 2:42 a.m. Wednesday near Highway 85 and Weld County Road 394, according to a news release from the response team and Weld County Sheriff’s Office.
However, the release contained few other details – including whether the officer was injured, the status of the suspect who was shot or what transpired that led to the shooting.
Investigators say they are looking for “any information that will further this investigation.”
