LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Police in Lakewood are looking for a woman who they say stole a purse and then immediately went on a shopping spree, spending more than $1,000 with the victim’s credit cards.

The woman stole the purse Friday afternoon from a victim at the Whole Foods in the Belmar shopping center located at 444 South Wadsworth Boulevard, according to a department Facebook post.

After the brazen daytime theft, police said she immediately began using the stolen credit cards at Best Buy, 7-Eleven and Home Depot.

Police on Wednesday released a security camera image of the woman leaving a Best Buy store with a PlayStation 4 gaming console.

The woman has short brown hair and a tattoo on her right inner forearm that appears to have an unknown name above an unknown picture.

Police are asking the public to contact Detective Anderson at 303-987-7281 if they’re able to help identify this suspect.
