Denver police still searching for answers one year after man’s murder at motel

DENVER — Police are still looking for answers one year after they found a murdered man behind a Denver motel.

Shortly after 7 a.m. on Feb 6, 2018, Richard Young was found murdered behind the Regis Motel at E. Colfax Avenue and Valentia Street. He was well-known and "well-thought of" along the E. Colfax corridor, police said. Police said his friends nicknamed him “Panic.”

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers said the investigation into his murder is ongoing and while police have talked with several witnesses, they need additional information to hold the person or people responsible for Young's death accountable.
