ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. – One of the victims in a double shooting that took place over the weekend in Englewood was identified as a 13-year-old boy by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday evening.

The deadly shooting occurred during a robbery attempt in an alleyway in the area of S. Bannock St. and W. Jefferson Ave. Sunday afternoon.

The coroner said Tuesday evening the boy died of a gunshot wound to the chest. His death was classified as a homicide.

Another victim, an 18-year-old male, was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his neck. He was in critical condition.

Authorities are looking for four men in their 20s who took off in a white 1998 Chevrolet Impala after the shooting around 2:30 p.m.

The teen shot in the neck told police the suspects were in the Chevy Impala. The car may have a broken window on the rear passenger side. Police issued a “be on the lookout” or BOLO for a vehicle matching that description.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and no further information was released.
