NEWTON, Kansas -- A Colorado fugitive was arrested after leading officers on a high speed chase and ramming a another driver.

Video from a Newton Police officer's dash cam captured the Thursday chase that hit speeds over 100 miles per hour.

The fugitive, identified as 47-year-old Gary Beall by the Hays Post, was driving a stolen car.

Police said the fugitive made comments that he was facing significant prison time and had nothing to lose.

"On two separate occasions he crossed left of center to go head on with marked patrol units forcing them into the ditch," Newton Police said. "He also rammed an unsuspecting motorist who fortunately wasn't more seriously harmed."

At one point in the case, Beall went off the road, into a field and got stuck. Beall got out of the car, jumped a fence and ran off, but was captured.
