MORRISON, Colo. — Court documents obtained by Denver7 Tuesday is revealing more details into the shooting death of a 61-year-old Morrison woman.

Jerald Cross, 64, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Julene Isaacson, who was found shot to death Oct. 7, in her home at 5288 Pintail Court in Morrison.

According to the affidavit, Cross called police and told them a woman was suffering from gunshot wounds. When Deputies from the Jefferson County Sherriff’s Office arrived, they found Cross tending to Isaacson, pushing on her chest “as if to perform CPR,” the documents read.

Deputies noted in the report that the victim had a gunshot wound on the left side of her face and appeared to be lifeless when they arrived. Isaacson was later pronounced deceased at the scene by a Saint Anthony’s Hospital doctor.

According to the documents, Cross complained to the deputies who arrived on scene about their response time, and claimed: “that if they would have arrived sooner, the female would still be alive.”

When deputies asked if Cross saw what happened, he responded, “Yeah, I’m gonna tell you, I did it,” the affidavit read.

Cross, who also lived at the house, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

The exact nature of the pair’s relationship is unclear.

Cross is due back in court on Oct. 25. He remains in custody and is being held without bail.
