ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — A clerk at a gas and food mart was injured in a Thursday morning shooting in Adams County.
Sgt. Jim Morgan with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said a shooting was reported around 6:15 a.m. at C&K Food and Gas, 5251 N. Pecos Street.
Morgan said two juvenile males, a 15-year-old and 16-year-old, came into the store. One had a gun and it was discharged sometime during the teens’ robbery attempt, he said.
The store clerk was wounded, but their injures are not life-threatening, Morgan said.
It was unclear if the suspects had stolen anything from the store.
The two teens are described as Hispanic males. One was wearing a black hoodie.

We are investigating an armed robbery at the C&K Food and Gas on Pecos Street. Suspects described as 15/16 yoa males. Clerk sustained non-life threatening injury. At this time this is all the info we have.
