2 men charged for robbing restaurant and diners at La Frontera Steakhouse in Denver

DENVER -- Two men accused of robbing a restaurant, and its diners, have been charged.

The Denver District Attorney said 26-year-old Lawrence Evans, 30-year-old Jamal Bullock and a third man went into the La Frontera Steakhouse and Karaoke Bar on Federal Boulevard on January 13th and robbed the restaurant and its patrons.

A police officer responding to the robbery saw two people running from the entrance of the restaurant, both were wearing ski masks, police said.

One suspect was arrested during the foot chase, the second suspect was found on a nearby porch and arrested.

"During the chase, it appears the suspect dropped a large amount of cash and a bank bag full of cash fell out of his pants while in custody," Denver Police said on Facebook.

The two men have been charged with kidnapping, aggravated robbery and criminal attempt to commit aggravated robbery.

The third man involved in the robbery has not yet been arrested.

Bond is $100,000 for each defendant.
