A puppy thrown against a car in Pueblo by a man police say was high on methamphetamine now has a new home after a drawing from potential forever home providers at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.
Beth Sisneros from Peyton says she's going to rename the pup Buddy Jr. He was given the name of Bob by shelter staff.

Sisneros was among those who showed up at the Pueblo facility to enter their name during the different than routine adoption process. The change was due to the sheer number of people who came forward to adopt.
Applicants had to fill out a form at the facility in person, then staff members at the shelter selected someone at random from their database.
HSPPR said the adoption fee for Bob is $400, which includes his neuter, vaccines, voucher for veterinary exam, 30 days of pet health insurance and a dog license.
