GOLDEN, Colo. — A Golden man is facing charges for shoving an employee at Golden Moon Distillery over the weekend.

"You can see he comes 15 feet away and attacks my employee and then he goes in to continue the attack and my other customers jump in," said Stephen Gould, owner of Golden Moon Distillery.

Gould said the attack started over a mask.

"My employee said, 'you have to be wearing a mask.' The guy said — he immediately sat down — and said, 'I’ll wear a mask when I damn well want to,'" Gould recalled.

The Golden Police Department says 62-year-old John Roche is the man accused of attacking the employee. He is facing charges of trespassing and harassment. However, he did not receive a citation for not wearing a mask.

Roche refused to comment on the incident.
