More than 557,000 people in Colorado have tested positive for COVID-19 and more than 31,000 have been hospitalized as of Sunday, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

12:15 p.m. | CDPHE on progress toward 70% vax goal by 7/4
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment says 69.85% of Coloradans have received at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine — more than 3.1 million people 18 and older.
Most vaccine doses are reported within 72 hours of administering the vaccine, so it’s likely the CDPHE won’t know the total number of people vaccinated by July 4 until a few days after the holiday, the department said.

11:25 p.m. | CDPHE on progress toward 70% vaccination goal
The CDPHE's goal of vaccinating 70% of the state by July 4 is almost complete.
In a statement, CDPHE said: "We are thrilled about the vaccination progress we have made. In just six months, we have vaccinated more than 3.1 million Coloradans ages 18 and up with at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. As of this morning, we have vaccinated 3,136,237 which puts us at 69.64 percent. So far, we are on pace to meet our goal to vaccinate 70% of Coloradans ages 18 and up. We encourage all eligible Coloradans to get vaccinated as soon as possible. It is the easiest way to protect our friends, families and communities and to return to the lives we love."
