People who received invalid doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Centennial-based Health Now Medical, LLC, whose participation in the state's vaccination program was suspended after a routine visit by state health officials, says patients need to do the following:
- Patients who received one invalid dose at Health Now Family Practice will need to be revaccinated with one valid dose. They should receive their repeat dose from another COVID-19 vaccine provider as soon as possible.
- Patients who received two invalid doses at Health Now Family Practice will need to repeat both doses. They should receive their first repeat dose from another COVID-19 vaccine provider as soon as possible.
- For some patients, it may be best to wait eight weeks after the invalid dose before getting revaccinated. Boys and men aged 12 to 39 years may be at higher risk of a rare side effect called myocarditis if they get revaccinated before eight weeks have passed. Talking with a health care provider can help you learn more about your individual risk factors and whether it’s best for you to wait before getting revaccinated.
Patients who need to be revaccinated can find a vaccine provider at covid19.colorado.gov/vaccinefinder and can contact CDPHE with questions at cdphe_covidvax@state.co.us or 1-877-268-2926.
