MONTROSE, Colo. — The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment began operations at a drive-through COVID-19 testing site in Montrose Monday.
The COVID-19 testing site was staffed by the National Guard medical team and served nearly 90 high-risk patients who had been pre-selected by area health care providers as a priority for being tested — 83 people were tested Monday; 74 from Montrose County and nine from Delta County.
Also on Monday, Montrose County health officials announced the county's second confirmed case of COVID-19 — a 35-year-old man who had recently spent time in Crested Butte. The individual is currently in quarantine at his home.
The state has completed tests on more than 800 people in Denver, Telluride, Pueblo, and Salida.
