Phyllis Cordova said she lost her 20th anniversary wedding ring in August at a Hobby Lobby parking lot in Aurora.
She said she took her rings off and put them on her lap to put lotion on her hands. When she got out of the car she forgot about the rings and they fell to the ground.
One of the rings she was wearing she later found underneath a car but her anniversary ring was gone.
In 2005, Cordova was injured in after a car crashed into her. After several surgeries she was diagnosed with arachnoiditis.
"At some point in my life I’m going to end up disabled completely to where I can’t function at all with the lower part of my body and I wanted to go walk in the sand with my bare feet," Cordova said.
Cordova said her husband decided to take her to Cancun and on the trip there gave her the anniversary ring she is now looking for.
"We’ve been through a lot in our lives you know and we’ve conquered them and that ring symbolized our love that we share together," Cordova said.
