DENVER – The deadline to enroll in a health care plan through Colorado’s health insurance marketplace is January 15, and many people still have questions about coverage options and how much they’ll be paying for health insurance next year.
These and many other questions should not go unanswered, which is why Denver7 is holding a call center with the help of Connect for Health Colorado from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3.

This month’s deadline is for coverage that will take effect the first of February, but it’s the last opportunity people will have to buy health care through the marketplace this year without a life changing event.
At the December deadline for coverage that could start at the first of the year, Coloradans had selected just over 156,000 medical insurance plans through Connect for Health Colorado. That’s nearly 7,000 more than at the same point the previous year.
Connect for Health Coloradois a marketplace for individuals, families and small employers to not only compare and buy health insurance but also apply for financial assistance to lower premiums. They are encouraging people to stop, shop and enroll; and for consumers who do not qualify for assistance, they are providing a platform to look at comparable plans in their areas all in effort to help decrease premiums.
Denver7 and Connect for Health Colorado believe everyone who buys their own insurance can benefit from taking time to review the health plan options available to them and check their eligibility for financial help. Please call the team at (303) 777-7492 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and get your questions answered.
