BAILEY, Colo. -- Mary Drotar and her husband always wanted to live in nature's beauty and now she says she is finally able to.

"I had to downsize. I was in a huge house and there's only the two of us. I thought, 'You know what? I'm going to live with pine trees right in my lawn. I'm looking for peaceful.'" Drotar recounts.

The peace she's found in her new home has come with time after a stressful move.

"I really felt like I was going to have a heart attack," she said.

Drotar says she hired PODS in order to store her furniture while her home was being sold.

"And I thought, even though it's expensive I thought it was a good solution," she said.

She and her husband closed on a home in Bailey after already storing everything in the PODS.

When it came time to move, Drotar said PODS told her they did not deliver to that area.

"To my amazement they, the customer service rep said, 'Oh, we don't deliver to 80421,' which is Bailey's zip code," Drotar said.

In a contract Drotar signed with PODS, it doesn't specify restrictions on delivery locations. It does say customers will not be entitled to a refund.

PODS responded to Denver7 with this statement:

“We have been in contact with Ms. Drotar and have found in reviewing our communication history that she was unsure of her final destination when booking her order. PODS has a strong presence in the Denver area; however, we do not service all zip codes. As Ms. Drotar was not informed of this, we have issued her a refund and consider this matter to be resolved.”
