LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A Lakewood family says for the ninth time in a year, the hot water is out in their town home at The Ranch at Bear Creek.

“One time…we had no hot water for a month. It’s been several other times, three to four days with no hot water,” said resident Daniel Schneider.

Schneider said simple tasks like bathing, doing dishes, and washing his daughter’s bottles means boiling huge pots of water and carrying them to the sink.

“I’ve got a two-month-old and to make sure that I clean the bottles correctly you have to have hot water,” Schneider said.

Schneider said the front office is aware of the problem, but still hasn’t fixed it. So he called Contact7.

“When I call the leasing office I’ll leave a voicemail and I won’t even get a return phone call. They don’t return phone calls.”

Schneider said his faucets aren’t the only ones running cold.

“When the hot water goes out, none of my neighbors have water, so I’m sure I’m not the only one that is frustrated with the situation. “

Denver7 reached out to management at The Ranch at Bear Creek. They said they cannot comment but are working on a solution to the problem.
