DENVER -- After getting her car towed from her own parking lot, a Denver woman reached out to Contact 7 for help.
Last Monday morning, Helen Rodriguez went out to take her granddaughter to school and her car was gone.
She feared the worst.
“I figured they stole it, then I called my office and my office said it was towed away and I was like, 'what?!' and then we had to go down and get it,” she said.
She admits her parking wasn't perfect but still wasn't sure why she got towed. Her sister paid close to $250 for her to get the car out but Contact7 spoke to the Denver Housing Authority, who manages her complex. They spoke to the towing company and got the money reimbursed.
“Oh, it's heaven and thanks to you all - I can't believe I'm getting my money back, I just... you don't even know how excited I am. I mean, that's almost $300. That's a lot of money for somebody who doesn't have a lot of money,” Rodriguez said.
