LITTLETON, Colo. -- Kristine Jones continues on her road to recovery.
"The first month, six weeks was really rough," Jones tells Denver7.
Back in September, Jones was hit by a SUV on South Hill Lane in Littleton.
The driver still has not been found.
"It’s been no luck. So, they are out there, they have to live with that on their conscience. They left me in the cold, frozen street that day," Jones said of the driver.
Her bruises healed, but Jones did not have health insurance and now owes more than $11,000. To make matters worse, she was unable to work for several weeks.
"Rent is expensive. I now have one job. Landscaping is over for the season. We are back at 25%, I’m a bartender so that’s been rough," Jones said.
After her story aired, Denver7 viewers donated $2,000 to help with her rent.
"Whoever you are, I appreciate it so much you have no idea. It means a lot to me and I wish I could thank each and everyone of you individually and thank you so so much and thank you and you guys for helping out I really appreciate it," Jones said to the Denver7 viewers.
