AURORA, Colo. — Things in the cul-de-sac on Nile Street in Aurora seem pretty good, but go around to the back of one of the houses and it’s a very different story.

“I am sad, you know?” the homeowner said.

Nails and wood are piled in the yard.

“June 9 he come in. After that he’s not coming,” she said.

An Aurora homeowner, who didn't want to use her name of face, said she paid Victorio Construction $2,100 back in June to remodel her deck.

“I call every other day. He’s not answer. He says, 'I come in tomorrow at eight o’clock,' but he’s not coming,” she said.

She said back in August her neighbor helped get in touch with the contractor.

“He told me, 'I come back after one month' and I tell him okay. But he was like, 'when do you start, when do you finish to complete?' Again, he came in, he tell me start off the date right also the complete. After that, he’s not coming,” she said.

The new contract had a finish date of Sept. 28, but there's still been no work as of Oct. 4. Contact Denver7 tried calling, but there was no answer and the mailbox was full.

This homeowner only wants one thing now.

“I need to return my money,” she said.
