Suspected burglar attacked by watchful neighbor, police said

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A suspected burglar is in critical condition after being attacked by a watchful neighbor, police said.

The neighbor told police he saw a man burglarizing vehicles in the 3900 block of Ruskin Place North, near Academy Blvd and Airport Road, in Colorado Springs Sunday night around 9:45 p.m.

The neighbor told police he confronted the suspect. When police arrived, officers said the suspect was unresponsive.

The suspect was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said no arrests have been made.
