COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Officers in Colorado Springs are investigating a second attempted abduction in the last week. However, the suspect descriptions in each case are different.

Thursday night, a 16-year-old girl told police that she was at North Academy Blvd. and Galley Road when a man drove up to her in a white, four-door, older model car or sedan.

"The suspect told the victim to get in the car," Colorado Springs Police said. "When the victim did not get in the car the suspect exited the car and attempted to grab the victim to force her in the car."

The teen managed to escape and call police.

On Monday morning, two 15-year-old girls said they were walking on Pony Tracks Drive, near the golf course, when a a gray, older-model sedan drove up next to them and asked them if they wanted a ride to Sand Creek High School.

The girls told police that when they refused the ride, the front passenger reached out and grabbed one of the teenagers by her left arm and said, “get in or else.”

"The teenager told her friend to run away, as she pulled her arm free from the grasp of the male," Colorado Springs Police said.

Both girls got away.

In that case, there were two or three people in the car. The front passenger was a white man in his mid-20s with short, dark hair. He was wearing a black hat and black hooded sweatshirt. The driver was described as a heavy-set white man with short hair who was wearing a bright red shirt.

In Thursday's attempted abduction, there was one suspect. He was described as a heavy-set, Hispanic man in his 40s. The man was about 6'1" tall with black and gray hair and a light mustache.

Anyone with information about either attempted abduction, or who witnessed either incident, is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at (719) 444-7000.
